Applied Science Private University
Applied Sciences Private University was established in 1991 as a monument of higher education and a source of science and knowledge. The University has eight colleges: the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Arts and Design, the Faculty of Information Technology, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Nursing, in addition to the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies that is offering masters programs in Accounting, Marketing, Computer Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, International Relations & Diplomatic Studies and Master of Nursing.
The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences started it's scientific career in 1991. The Faculty was granted both the public and private accreditation by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan since its inception. Today the Faculty has seventy eight (78) full time talented and efficient faculty members holding different academic ranks. The faculty also employs a professional administrative cadre specializing in secretarial and laboratory tasks.
Currently the Faculty has approximately (4000) students from twenty-eight nationalities (Jordanians – Arabs – Foreigners). The faculty's graduates are estimated to be more than 12,000 students, many of them assumed leadership positions in both the public and private sectors within and outside of Jordan.
In addition to undergraduate programs in Arabic and English the Faculty offers Master's programs in Accounting, Marketing, and is working to get the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education to open Master's programs in other disciplines in an effort to provide the local and the Arab community with scientifically and academically qualified cadres.
The Faculty contributes to scientific research and publication in all areas of scientific knowledge and pays attention to the large and growing sources and means of information through the adoption of books, programs and references to modern scientific journals and periodicals, in order to improve and control the output of its educational process. The Faculty's Fifth International Conference is designed to provide a venue for the exchange of experiences, ideas and knowledge in financial and management disciplines and to encourage participants to submit their papers and scientific ideas and new research findings for discussion and to gain valuable feedback from their peers.
